From the early days of Go M.A.D.®, the team has been passionate about helping as many people Make A Difference as possible. We realised that Solution Focused Thinking goes beyond just helping businesses transform the way they operate. Many of the people we train corporately to use the Go M.A.D.® Results Focused Thinking System immediately start using the methodology in their personal life, making a difference within their families, friends and in their community.
Since 1999, members of the team have worked with many schools and charities providing training, facilitation and free development materials. We also developed a coaching accreditation programme for our corporate clients that enabled hundreds of managers to use the Go M.A.D.® methodology as coaches within their communities.
In 2007, after a successful appearance on a TV quiz show, Andy Gilbert, Go M.A.D.® founder, took his £65,000 winnings and gave it away , £65 at a time, to 1000 people who wanted to make a difference to others. This was the start of what has become our Think It, Do It, Share It™ Corporate Responsibility Programme and lead us to start thinking about how we could possibly help large scale communities.
We realised that this would require a radically different approach to our corporate transformation programmes using a blend of techniques and technology. Combining the capabilities and intellectual property across the whole of the Go MAD Thinking and Technology businesses we believe it is possible to create a wave of Solution Focused Thinking in a community, helping a significant number of people to Make A Difference in their life. Now we are bringing together our online technology to create new software and development materials, and planning to train thousands of volunteer Community Coaches to support individuals and projects within their community.
Our Think It, Do It, Share Itâ„¢ programmes will help people in their community in three ways:
- Think it – Go M.A.D.® tools & Community Coaches will help people gain clarity about what they want to achieve, find solutions to problems and prioritise actions.
- Do it – Go MAD Technology will support individuals in the community as they start to take action, helping them access knowledge, skills and opportunities that will help them make the differences they are focused on.
- Share it – Go MAD Technology and Community Coaches will enable people to give back to their community, sharing skills, knowledge and successes to help others on their journey to achieving their goals.
We have committed over £1 million in money, time and resources throughout 2012/13 to ensuring this happens with Think Leicestershire – a brand new Think It, Do It, Share It™ programme commencing in Summer 2012.
