Binge Thinking

Apprentice advice from Entrepreneur of the Year 2009 - Andy Gilbert

So the Apprentice has ended for one more year.  I predicted that the final would be between Kate and Yasmina and went public that my money was on Yasmina so I am delighted with the outcome.  Based on the principles of the Go MAD Thinking System, I would offer the following advice to each of them as they now embark on no doubt illustrious careers: For Kate:  'You need to show more of your 'Reason Why'.  The criticism that you can be rather robotic and cold can be overcome quickly if you share your vision and drive and personal passion with others.  Open up more.  Involve others in your thinking and don't think you have to be perfect all of the time.

"For Yasmina, I say: "Well done for being so focused, having such high levels of self-belief and for taking personal responsibility for the tasks you led.  You were less than impressive in the interviews because you had not planned your priorities in getting your head around the financials of your business but I believe you can learn and be an outstanding apprentice. You have a strong reason why - that is to learn and grow under the wing of Sir Alan - and you know how to take action and will always now measure results.

"Good luck to all the candidates, each of whom has had the opportunity to learn about themselves.  The whole series has been a triumph in seeing what good, great and remarkable looks like (values I live by) and that doesn't even start to mention the wisdom dispensed by Sir Alan.  This has been unmissable TV, a 12 week exercise in fly-by-the-seats-of-your-pants-entrepreneurism and I will be watching out for several of the candidates who didn't make the final cut to help me with my own business expansion plans".
